Trip Plan
This is a four-week circumnavigation of Sri Lanka in a tuk-tuk I will buy—surfboard strapped to the roof, cameras in the back, and the freedom to turn down any road that looks interesting. The journey begins on the South Coast, weaving between palm-lined beaches, fruit stalls, fishing villages, and warm, surf-obsessed communities. From Weligama and Hiriketiya to Midigama and Mirissa, the pace is slow, tropical, and cinematic.

The road then pushes up the East Coast toward Arugam Bay, where long right-hand point breaks peel at sunrise and elephants wander the roadside. Life here moves at a different rhythm—local cafes, dusty streets, barefoot kids playing cricket, and fishermen heading out at dusk. Mid-journey, I will cut inland through the Hill Country, climbing into tea fields, waterfall valleys, ancient temples, and misty mountain passes around Ella and Kandy. This contrast between coast and jungle becomes a defining visual thread of the film.

The final section loops through the North and West, where fewer tourists go. Remote Tamil communities, quiet beaches, colourful markets, sacred sites, and vast lagoons shape the final stretch before returning toward Colombo. The tuk-tuk gives me full access to small towns, hidden bays, and places tourists never see, turning the whole island into a moving set for storytelling. It’s a warm, chaotic, vibrant adventure driven by culture, surf, and human connection.

Brand Integration
This expedition can be crafted entirely around the supporting brand’s values — whether focused on raw adventure, cultural exploration, coastal lifestyle, environmental storytelling, or surf-driven discovery across an entire island. The project will generate a massive content library across tropical coastlines, local communities, tuk-tuk travel, daily surf missions, remote bays, and the full lap of the island itself, along with a fully customised documentary that the brand will own outright.
