Trip Plan

This 14-day mission explores the southern regions of Japan’s snow belt, travelling by van through small mountain towns, quiet ski areas, and deep backcountry zones. The trip focuses on consistent ski touring, moving between storm cycles, untouched tree lines, and hidden powder stashes while keeping the exact locations unnamed. Nights are spent in snowy car parks, or near natural hot springs, allowing for early ascents and long days in the mountains.

Along the way, I spend time in local family-run restaurants, visit natural onsens, and explore the slower pace of life in remote winter communities. The skiing is the centrepiece of the trip — deep snow, rolling terrain, storm days, and classic Japanese backcountry conditions - captured across both mellow explorations and longer touring missions. The journey highlights the mix of culture, simplicity, and heavy powder that defines winter in this region, without referencing specific mountains or villages.

Brand Integration

This expedition can be shaped entirely around the supporting brand’s values, whether designed for high-performance winter storytelling, cultural immersion, environmental focus, or pure powder-driven adventure. The trip will produce a large collection of ski, lifestyle, van-life, and cultural content, along with a fully tailored documentary that the brand will own outright.
